"Carrizo Plain" 12x12 Acrylic on Wood

This is one of the 8 paintings from my 12x12 Central Coast Series. I painted this series with the idea of bringing bright and colorful artwork to every room. I tried out a new painting style that allows the neon pink base layer to show through in some areas that helps tie in all the colors.
 
"Carrizo Plain" is based off of my own reference photo taken last spring during the super bloom. I drove out to Carrizo Plains to catch the wildflowers and the views were stunning! I loved that the mountains and hills were just sold yellow with so many flowers that had popped up. The clouds on that day were so puffy and low that I knew I wanted to capture them.
 
The painting's edges are painted and comes ready to hang.
